TheLaoHub ("we", "us") is an independently operated travel discovery platform covering Vientiane and Vang Vieng, Laos. This page explains what information we collect from visitors and how we use it.
Information We Collect
You do not need to create an account or sign up to browse TheLaoHub. We do not collect personal information such as your name, passport number, or payment details. When you tap a contact button (WhatsApp, call, website, map), we record anonymous usage data — the action type, the Partner involved, and the destination link — never your identity.
Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and general device/location information. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. A separate cookie remembers your selected language. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Third-Party Links
Buttons on TheLaoHub link out to a Partner's own WhatsApp, phone, website, social media, or booking page — services TheLaoHub does not control. Some links (for example, hotel booking or attraction tickets) are affiliate links, and TheLaoHub may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Please review the third party's own privacy policy before sharing information with them.
Data Storage & Security
Data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled. Only the site operator can access raw analytics records.
Children's Privacy
TheLaoHub is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "last updated" date above will change when we do.
